2011 has started with a bang...can't say NYE was anything to record in history but I can officially say I've seen a "Moon Pie" drop in downtown Mobile! WHOO...Wait a second...I can't even say that I "saw" it because by the time I realized what I was looking for it had already descended. OH WELL...it's the thought that counts.
School has started again! Other than being off this summer (2011) I will not have another break until May 4, 2013. That's ok though...it'll be here before I realize it. I am only taking 7 hours this semester (it's all I am able to). I will be finished with everything other than the Nursing Classes and Clinicals in May. I am taking Microbiology and Public Speaking this semester. I have been putting Microbiology off since 2003, but I will actually get it finished this semester. I got an "A" on my first exam so I've set the bar appropriately and will strive to only get "A's". I am enjoying class and really learning a lot. It's a bummer to be gone from the BF and pups every Tuesday and Thursday evening but small sacrifices are worth the outcome.
It's almost spring...I've almost lived here a year...do you know what that means???
We're Moving!!! DUH!!! In all honesty I did plan on living here for as long as Pete wanted to but we've been through a lot with Precious recently and it was the best decision for all of us to move out of the apartment. We are not ready to buy a house yet for many reasons...1) Only 1 Income right now (you can hardly count my part time job as anything other than a means to get me out of the house) 2) Are we even sure we want to stay in Alabama 3) We have some BIG wants in a home and neither one of us wants to settle on anything less than perfect. We did find a lovely rental home in Daphne, AL though. It's a small but large enough for us, 3/2 with the 2 car garage for all of Pete's toys...and the Accord if I get lucky ;) We will be moving in Mid March and will be accepting visitors right after. We will have a guest bedroom with a queen bed and I serve breakfast in bed...UM just joking about that part! The important thing is Precious will have the fenced yard that she deserves and will hopefully stop opening cabinets, clearing off counter tops, and doing my dishes from me while I am at work. I'd love for any of you Atlanta Peaches to visit so let me know if the mood ever brings you this way.
It's Mardi Gras Season!!! Mobile is all decorated and it's put me in the mood! I am looking forward to being here the whole season this year. I have the Parade Calendar printed and ready to go!
I'd like to say I'll get better about blogging in 2011...but let's be honest between school, work, moving, and just enjoying my amazing life...it doesn't rank high! But I'll check back and try to commit to at least once a month!
For Now....I'll wish you all the happiness, joy, and laughter in 2011. I know 2011 is going to be an amazing year for me!
