Day Six: A Photo of an Animal You’d Love to Keep as a Pet.

Today's post is obviously special.  I love both of my dogs with all of my heart...some may even say I love Lola a little "too much" but you can't love too much.  Precious and Lola are my children and mean the world to me.  I would be a crazy dog lady if I wasn't also a neat freak.  I guess I could have a million Lola's since she doesn't shed and hardly ever smells bad...that would require a lot of attention since Bichon's are known for wanting a lot of love and companionship.  But alas, this blog is not going to be focused on my two pups...it's dedicated to the first true four legged friend I ever made....
Droopy "Stink Dog" "Old Man" Moss

The Droopster was born on May 24th of Y2K!  He's going to be 11 years old in a few months and man has he slowed down.  He is the smelliest dog I've ever met in my life but that's never stopped me from laying down on the ground and giving him a good belly rubbin'.  My brother originally was the owner of Droopy but he quickly became my parents dog, can't say I'm sad about that because I've been able to spend a lot of time with him through the years.  When I was a senior in High School I had a large collection of Tigers and Droopy was bound and determined each day when I went to school that he was going to sneak up two flights of stairs to my bedroom to get one of those Tigers for himself.  My dad would tell me how he'd come running back to the basement with pure victory in his eyes...only for my dad to compensate the Tiger and return it back to my bedroom.  When I finally gave in to his Tiger Love and gave him his first Tiger, he wanted nothing to do with it.  Droopy recently spent 10 days with Pete and I while we were still living in the apartment, it was probably the worst 10 days of Droopy's life.  He had to climb stairs to the second floor every time he wanted to go to the bathroom (which is frequently in his old age).  He also has a much earlier wake up time than me and the other two pups.  We made it through the 10 days though and I am pretty sure he's just now recovered.  I've never met a more spoiled dog.  Throughout his 11 years he's been on MANY rides in the Z71 and now Jeep...those rides were typically to get some delicious treats such as Bruster's Ice Cream or a Hot Dog at the Tom Thumb.  Droopy has never been a big fan of dog food...he thinks that's for "Common Dogs" and he in no way is "Common".  He's had a Turkey all to him, Steaks, you name it Droopy has probably ate it or at least tried it.  He's not a fan of carrots, cucumbers...basically anything healthy (but can you blame).  He's my Dad's Best Friend.  Droopy used to jump into bed and cuddle with me in his younger years...he can barely get up onto anything these days.  He has a ramp to get into the Jeep but he's not ready to go to heaven just yet.  Droopy has been a part of this family for so long, I couldn't picture it any other way!  He eats a "Chicken Treat" first thing in the morning, his "Common Dog Food" after, has a 3pm Cheese Treat, and eats dinner around 4:30pm...and he knows he'll get a little something off my dads plate each night.  Droopy has the life any other "Common Dog" would love to have.  I love Droopy AKA Stinky Dog AKA Old Man, he ain't "Nothin' but a Hound Dog".
